Allstate diesel train set #9638 by Marx, VERY RARE! . Only available in 1958! Nearly complete set in unbelievably excellent condition! Locomotives have not been tested, however they appear to have rarely been used. This set is originally an A-B-A set, but I’m including a second “B unit” which is missing one of the ladders/steps. All of the cars are in excellent condition, the only thing missing from this huge set are the green tractors for the Erie 4528 flat car. Includes the girder load for the larger flat car as well as the original rubber tie down strap. Also includes the original livestock, trough, loading ramp, and 14 pieces of fence. The 100 watt transformer has been tested and works fine. According to online O scale forums, the Allstate E7 A-B-A set (#9638) w/ the orange Allstate bay window caboose may be the most sought after 8-wheel deluxe plastic set, although that is also based on some other rather unique cars in that large set (eg: orange Erie #4528 flat car w/ green tractors, MP green stock car, etc).
