My friends father was a coal miner and it was a gift to his son for Christmas in 1950. It has been boxed up for many years at this point. I replaced it with an original marx piece. I serviced and Cleaned the motor brushes/commutator and wheels. Its running like new again and ready for the next person to enjoy this beautiful original boxed set. Only issues with the engines are 3 of 4 horns are broke off. Track and transformer is missing. Along with some of the inserts for the cars.
