  LEGO THATCHER PERKINS LOCOMOTIVE 396 Train. This Lego locomotive is complete- all correct parts are present. Photos are of the actual item which you will receive so please look at them. The box has seen better days unfortunately but it is present. The original instructions were photocopied as they were badly torn – I no longer have them- so it is the photocopy that you will receive- I photocopied them myself and then carefully pieced them together so you can still easily follow them to make this fantastic model. This is a truly great piece of rare Lego history as it was only made for one year- 1976 and now regarded as highly collectible- to have all of the correct pieces is amazing after 45 years!   Up for sale is a LEGO 6399 Airport Shuttle Monorail 100% Complete With Instructions VERY RARE!!! This is a very rare, older Lego set and this one is 100% complete! I went through and verified three times that all the parts and all the pieces that would have originally come with the set are all present, including all of the stickers. It also comes with the original instructions as well as all the mini-figs. The only thing that I do not have for this set is the box, NO BOX!!! Otherwise there are no issues and everything is there and working, even the electronic components (tested with voltmeter)! It all weighs in at 5 pounds, 0.5 ounces total.   LEGO THATCHER PERKINS LOCOMOTIVE 396 Train. This has been in my possession since Christmas 1976. I built it then put it back in the box. As you can see I have the original labels but they have lost their stick- new excellent quality reproduction labels are supplied. Photos are of actual train you will receive which I built this weekend- wow it took my mind right back to being a kid again nice memories.   This is an unboxed set – Lego 12V electric passenger train from 1981 PLUS an extra middle carriage. Motor unit with SNCF 7725 stickers applied plus a few more… Middle carriage with DB 7725 stickers. EXTRA middle carriage with DB 7725 stickers. Trailer unit with SNCF 7725 stickers on doors and DB sticker on front. Instruction manual, good condition (some writing/marking in blue felt-tip pen). All pieces are present and have been checked against the instructions. There is a full set of six period-correct couplers with pin here – this set did not come with couplers on the front and back ends. The set has been well used and some light grey pieces exhibit yellowing/discolouration. You may want to/be able to restore these pieces using chemicals, but I have not touched them – I’ll leave it to you. The electric motor is tested and working well. Original wheel rubbers are long gone but there is plenty of life in the power pickups. Note again there is no track, transformer, minifigs or accessories included in this lot. What you get is what you see in the first picture. At some point over the years I got the pieces together to build the extra carriage; you might be able to discern the slightly better-applied stickers on that one. Its a great train in very good shape for its 40+ years – while it’s not considered a cult classic like the 7740, the stubby design is very cute, very 80s LEGO and it looks fantastic in this (slightly) longer form. The items will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap before boxing to protect them in transit. See my other auctions for more old LEGO train gear!
